Cherry-Chairy!

Beautiful sunny weekend here in Portland and the Farmer's Markets have bushels of tasty fruity morsels. Jeff picked up cherries today, so come in this week for a fresh cherry soda, milkshake or cherry coke!

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives - June 22nd

That's a Wrap!

It's been a crazy two days of shooting for Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The crew wrapped up this evening. Everyone with the production company was so genuine...we are a small space with zero experience in filming anything, so kudos to them for their support.

We can't wait until we can announce the air date, but have patience. It could be 3-6 months.

Blueplate comes back on Monday (come in for the Fried Chicken!), no more cameras on the side.

Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Big-big Blueplate news ya'll! We have been selected to appear on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!

Some of you may recognize the spunky host, Guy Fieri. The entire production team, including Guy, rolls into town on Thursday and Friday to film at Blueplate!

We will be closed on Thursday & Friday to make room for cameras and such. However we do need happy customers to come in and eat (for free!) and be interviewed by the Triple D crew. If you are interested, come by on Friday from noon 'til 2. First come, first serve. You may have to hang around and eat/drink what's put in front of you, but hey...you might end up on TV!

Air date not confirmed, however they *think* by end of Summer.

Chicken Fried Post

Just wanted to let everyone know that we will be changing the Blueplate Special on Monday, March 9th.

Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and a side of sweet corn. The chicken will be boneless, skinless breast meat. ($10)

This Monday (9th) will be the last day for the Sloppy Joe ($8). Check back next week for the replacement Monday sandwich.
